Dan Knox

Dan leads Civic Foundry’s Technology Delivery practice. He builds teams quickly around a clear purpose and turns complex current-state environments into practical target states, investment roadmaps and delivery programs.

He has developed successful digital business cases for the Federal Budget, recovered failing projects and led reviews of critical legacy systems in need of renewal for large Commonwealth agencies. Earlier, as an APS executive, he led a 60-person team through major organisational change, adopting automation and AI to improve efficiency and quality. He also delivered a nationally significant live and archival video platform for the public record.

Dan spent 15 years in senior APS roles, including as Chief Technology Officer of a large government agency, where he introduced Agile delivery and shaped the roadmaps behind an interagency digital strategy. His leadership has been recognised with multiple Secretary’s and CIO Awards. He worked in a consulting start-up alongside Caitrin and Shaun before helping found Civic Foundry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours from Macquarie University and is a PRINCE2 Practitioner and Certified ScrumMaster.
